It was exciting to meet fellow scientists studying the fate and transport of microplastics in complex flows across diverse environmental applications. Their perspectives on modeling MPs—ranging from lab-scale experiments to large-scale global transport—were nothing short of eye-opening. I enjoyed meeting new colleagues and learning about different research approaches, including laboratory, computational, and theoretical methods.
